Below is a list of the current Bible study groups and classes that are happening at Cornerstone. Our hope is that these classes support spiritual growth, fellowship and learning about God’s Word. Ongoing Groups & Gatherings

  • Our quarterly all-member dinners provide time to build relationships with each other by sharing a meal, taking the Lord’s Supper, giving church updates, and celebrating what the Lord has done and is doing in the life of Cornerstone. Learn more about membership here.

  • Impact (Middle School) meets weekly on Tuesday nights, and The Rock (High School) meets weekly on Wednesday nights. Visit our student ministries page for more information on time and location.

  • Flourish is designed for women of all ages, diverse experiences and spiritual maturity. Our desire is to provide a loving and nurturing environment for women to gather throughout the year, to enjoy one another’s company, be inspired by Scripture and personal stories, to know and love Jesus more and to make lasting connections at Cornerstone.

    Once a month, Friday at 7:00-8:30PM OR Saturday 9:30-11:00AM in the South MPR (4364 Valley Fair St) *Friday and Saturday meetings are the same – Choose the one that is best for you!

  • Embracing the Journey is a fellowship group for widows embracing the journey of widowhood. This group gathers once a month for encouragement, support, social activities, and Bible studies. For more details, please call (805) 581-9532

  • (Tuesdays in the Main MPR from 6:30-7:30 PM) “Set Free” Overcomers Outreach Meeting is a Christian 12-Step Support Group for Alcoholics and Addicts discovering freedom from active addiction through the power of Jesus Christ using God’s authoritative Word.   • If you or someone you know has been walking through the hardship of grief from the loss of a loved one, join us as we look to the comfort of God’s word to find peace and healing on the journey. For more information, please visit the grief share website.

  • Join us for a time of prayer for our missionary partners who serve around the world. You will get to know them by face and name, where they are serving and the work that the Lord is doing through them in the various nations they serve. This is a time to lift both specific needs and general prayer, asking God for their strength, protection, provision and guidance as they serve in often very difficult circumstances and situations. If you are interested in praying with us, we meet quarterly on a Tuesday evening from 6:30 – 8:00pm.

Fall ‘25 Groups & Classes

Reading Plan + Bible Discovery Groups

One of the most important habits for followers of Jesus is reading and/or listening to the Bible. For many Christians, this important rhythm was either never begun or has been set aside. Therefore, we want to provide an opportunity for every person that calls Cornerstone their local church family to not only read/listen through the New Testament, but to then get together to learn how to properly engage, ask questions, and apply the scripture you are reading.

Our Bible Discovery Groups will be available weekly to connect and discuss the reading. You can pick up a paper copy of the reading plan at the Connect Table on Sunday morning. Click here to go to the online version of the reading plan.

  • Discovery Groups (Reading Groups) most beginning after Labor Day

    1. Sundays @ 5 PM – Cornerstone Location TBD (MEN ONLY)

Enjoying Your Bible — Psalms

In this 8-week session, we’ll journey through the book of Psalms to learn how to read the Bible with greater understanding, paying special attention to the different genres within Scripture. Together, we’ll grow in how we read, enjoy, and engage with God’s Word.

Women’s Intro to Bible Study Methods – 1 Peter

This fall, we’ll return to the New Testament and walk through the book of 1 Peter. Together, we’ll learn and practice how to study Scripture with our minds in a way that shapes and transforms our hearts.

Each week includes homework with Bible reading and study time—about 30 minutes a day is all you’ll need. All that’s required is your Bible, a notebook, and a pen (a Scripture journal is optional).

Women’s Study — Amen: The Story of Scripture from Eden to Eternity. 

This fall, we will be doing a 6-week study of the biblical story. We will gain a better understanding of God's story as we see how all of scripture fits together, from Genesis to Revelation.

Sexual Sanity For Women

This support group for women is centered around sexual and relational brokenness. *No childcare available & no children present due to the nature of the content being discussed.

Spiritual Care Class

Spiritual Care Class is designed to equip you to engage in meaningful conversations that bring encouragement, clarity, and spiritual support. Whether you’re a leader or simply want to grow in caring for others, we hope you’ll join for this 10-week class beginning in September.
