Raising children is one of the most rewarding and tiring things you can do with your life. It is a job with no off days—or even off-hours! It is a job that almost anyone can do, but very few can do well.

God gives His mission for parents in Ephesians 6:4: “Parents, do not provoke your children to anger, but bring them up in the discipline and instruction of the Lord.” Our children belong to God. He has entrusted them to us, and He calls us to represent Him in the way we raise them.

Every parent bears this responsibility, but God hasn’t called us to bear it alone. In fact, the book of Ephesians is all about how God has designed his people to function together. You are not meant to raise your children in isolation, but with the support and participation of the Body of Christ.

During this conference, we’ll look to scripture to remind us that our primary identity is not as parents, but in Christ and in His church. We will seek to understand our mission as parents in light of God’s overall mission: to create a people for Himself.
